History in My Lifetime 1/14-15

History in My Lifetime

Welcome to this blog hop!

I am the host and NOT a good one at all!
I've had my project done for months.
I did it digitally using the My Memory Suite Program which is an excellent program!

Well the computer it's on is missing the usb and it's all wireless and touch screen and I've been trying since last night to get it to download and such.

I should've just put it in a post to pre-schedule way back when I did it and now I've learned. :)

I will let you know though what my "thing" was that happened during the history of my lifetime.

It was the invention of the DVD!
They were invented in 1995.
I remember when I met my husband a few years after this in 1998 while they were still "new" that I said I would never fall into wanting DVDs and such.
I was sure it was just a phase and before long everyone would be over them.
Little did I know VHS is now the one becoming almost obsolete and I did obviously begin to purchase DVDs and to this day still laugh about the comments him and I made on the phone over them.

Now if our children only knew, mostly my youngest, what life was like using VHS and not having the ease of the search menu on a DVD.
What will they think of next?

Grand Prize:
I am also offering a grand prize to a lucky winner who comments on each blog.
It is 4 digi stamps to Scrapbookstampsociety.com
Also have a look and see which ones you like. I would like for you to leave a comment on my blog telling me at least two that you like!

Please hop on over and see what else there is.....Vicki W - http://scrapbookingcreationsbyvicki.blogspot.com

Sorry you had so much trouble with your post. Can haedly believe it's been nearly 20 years.I can remember when the only place to see a movie was at the theater or wait for it to come on TV!
How times have changed. My daughter never got to see 'Sleeping Beauty' as a child she always managed to loose the priviledge. Now she owns it on Blue Ray!! This was really fun lots of things to remember thanks for hosting this hop.
Big Blog Hugs! Janet

Sorry you couldn't post your project. Thanks for hosting the blog hop. I'm thinking of doing an album of events and inventions in my life and my thoughts on them.
